Two Dallas icons come together.
“From one great Dallas-based institution to another, Neiman Marcus salutes Mary Kay on their 50th anniversary. Congratulations,” said Jeffrey Byron, vice president and general manager for Neiman Marcus Downtown.

In honor of the cosmetic company’s milestone, Neiman Marcus dedicated a number of its windows and a portion of its retail floor space to spotlight the direct seller known for its signature use of pink. The windows were created through a collaborative partnership between the two companies, and featured a gold hand-beaded dress from Naeem Khan alongside quotes and pictures in tribute to company founder Mary Kay Ash. Inside the store, a pink-themed display featured a unique collection of designer clothing and accessories in pink and gold, along with a custom Mary Kay pink 2013 Cadillac CTS.

The elaborate displays corresponded to the timing of Mary Kay’s annual seminar, in which nearly 50,000 Mary Kay independent sales force members converged in Dallas, with planned visits to Neiman Marcus to see the beautiful setups, and shop the pink pop-up collection.

Mary Kay’s first seminar in 1964 was held in the company’s first warehouse where 200 attendees dined on chicken cooked by Mary Kay Ash herself. This year, nearly 50,000 people attended the event at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, generating an economic impact of $49.4 million for the city according to the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau.
